My dear Sir Victor Wellesley,

With reference to your conversations earlier

in the year with Senhor Luiz Esteves Fernandes on

the subject of a contract for the building of a water

works in the Colony of Macau, it now gives me great

pleasure to inform you that such a contract was signed

in July last between the Municipality and the Macau Water

Supplies Society Limited.
